Padraig Pearses continue Scór na nÓg All Ireland Final preparations
Padraig Pearses will host a sponsored walk and concert on Saturday, January 10, in support of the GAA Club's participation in the Scór na nÓg All Ireland Final.
Eight club members are preparing to represent Padraig Pearses on the national stage in Killarney in the novelty act and recitation categories.
Club members, Erin Arru, Aoibhín Seale, Miriam Darcy, Katie Grenham, Katie Killeen, Ailbhe Glynn Desmond, Kate Killeen Lyons and Oisín Murphy will represent the club in the novelty act category, while Miriam Darcy will also represent Padraig Pearses in the recitation competition.
In advance of the All-Ireland Final, a fundraising community event will take place on the club grounds in Woodlawn, starting with a sponsored walk on Saturday at 7pm.
This will be followed by a Scór na nÓg concert at 7.30pm, during which the All-Ireland Final participants will perform.
The club are promising a shown which is 'fun packed with music, song, drama and recitations'.
'This night is a great opportunity for the local community to support our eight young club members as they begin their All Ireland quest'.
