Roscommon name team for FBD League Shield final

Roscommon senior football manager Mark Dowd has named his team to contest the FBD League Shield Final against Sligo tonight (Friday) in the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence Bekan at 7.30pm.

In their opening FBD league encounter Roscommon had a comprehensive win over Leitrim before suffering defeat to Mayo by 13 points in King & Moffat Dr Hyde Park last Sunday.

Having finished third on the FBD League table, they now face a Sligo team with one draw and one loss to date from their competition fixtures.

The Roscommon manager has been largely experimental in his team selection process during the pre-season competition, but has called on the experience of players such as Ronan Daly and Enda Smith for tonight's final.

Roscommon start their Allianz National Football League Division 1 campaign with a game against All-Ireland champions Kerry in Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney on Sunday week.
