Big numbers without beds this morning in Portiuncula

Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwifes Organisation (INMO) this morning show there are 32 people on trolleys at Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe.

The figures were part of a national total of 617 admitted patients waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch. 375 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 242 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

In Portiuncula, five are waiting for beds in the Emergency Department and 27 in wards and elsewhere.

In Tullamore, there is no one waiting for a bed, while there are seven people in the Emergency Department of Mullingar hospital without a bed.
