One SEN classroom approved for Our Lady’s Bower following three earlier approvals locally
Approval has been granted for one Special Educational Needs (SEN) classroom at Our Lady’s Bower in Athlone, providing a vital boost to local support for students with special educational needs.
The approval comes following an earlier announcement this month of three new SEN classrooms being approved for other schools in the local area.
Among the latest round of sanctioned classes are Scoil Na Gceithre Maistri and St Mary’s NS in Athlone, as well as Cloonakilla NS in South Roscommon, which will also receive new special classes for the upcoming school year.
These developments are part of a wider roll-out by the National Council for Special Education (NCSE), which has recently approved 168 new special classes for 159 schools nationwide.
