Local historian to deliver Old Athlone Society lecture this evening

The Old Athlone Society will welcome Dr Harman Murtagh to deliver its February lecture this evening (Wednesday, February 11).

Harman is an accomplished local historian and the author.

Along with Diarmuid Murtagh he co-authored the book The Irish Jacobite Army, and this will also form the subject of his talk this evening, which will cover the Jacobite Army during the period between 1689 and 1691.

The lecture will take place in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel at 8pm. All are welcome.
