Heartlands Pride announce Seachtain na Gaeilge events for Athlone

Heartlands Pride have announced a series of events for Seachtain na Gaeilge in Athlone.

Taking place from Sunday, March 1, to Tuesday, Mar 17, Seachtain na Gaeilge is a 17-day celebration of the Irish language, culture, and heritage that culminates annually on St. Patrick's Day.

Events scheduled for Athlone include a meditation event with Jameson Newell, taking place at Venue 4, Bastion Street on Saturday, March 7 at 6pm. This class will help give people the tools they need to find peace within themselves through breath work, meditation and movement

If you're looking to make use of your 'cúpla focal' in Irish, Heartlands Pride will be meeting at the Chocolate Brown Café in Athlone on Sunday, March 8, at 1pm

The schedule will culminate in the 'Gaylí: Céilí don Pobail Aiteach agus comhghuaillithe le August Kirwan', taking place in Venue 4, Bastion Street, on Sunday, March 15 at 7pm.

Inclusive Céilí with Irish Dancer and Céilí caller, August Kirwan, will bring an incredible night of music and craic as part of Croí na hÉireann Festival.

The Heartlands Pride events for Seachtain na Gaeilge are funded by the Ciste Spreagtha.

The group will also be hosting their Annual General Meeting on Thursday, March 5, at 7pm via zoom.

Heartlands Pride Athlone aim to fill the positions of Chairperson, Secretary, PRO, Treasurer, Events Manager, Fundraising Manager, Ordinary Members.
