Two Roscommon players named on GAA.ie 'Team of the Week'

Roscommon's Daire Cregg is one of three nominees for the GAA.ie 'Footballer of the Week' following a fine individual display in his county's Allainz NFL Division 1 win over Galway on Saturday night.

The forward is one of two Roscommon senior footballers who were named on the GAA.ie 'Team of the Week' as the county claimed their third successive league victory in Salthill.

Padraig Pearses club player Caelim Keogh was also named on the 'Team of the Week' following an impressive showing in his full back role.

It is the second occasion on which Cregg has been selected as one of the top 15 players from the weekend's league activity following his 1-7 scoring contribution to Roscommon's comeback win in Pearse Stadium.

Cregg has been nominated for the 'Player of the Week' accolade alongside Mayo's Jordan Flynn and Jason McGee of Donegal.

The 'Player of the Week' is due to be announced today on GAA.ie.

Meanwhile, Roscommon will hope to continue their early season form when they host Dublin in King & Moffatt Dr Hyde Park on Sunday (March 1), at 2pm.
