West-Midlands Credit Union's Go Green Expo to focus on sustainable living
The West-Midlands Credit Union has announced details of its Go Green Expo.
The free event, brought to you by Greenify, the credit union’s dedicated Green Loan offering, will take place this Sunday, March 1, from 12 noon to 4pm at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone.
It will bring together providers and community members interested in practical, eco-friendly solutions for the home and transport.
Attendees can explore a wide range of green energy solutions from exhibitors, including solar panels and renewable energy systems, electric vehicles (EVs), home insulation upgrades, energy-efficient windows, green heating solutions, green financing and grant options.
They will also gain insights from expert presentations and panel discussions, including the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), detailing all available grants and incentives and Cat from Castlequarter House, sharing her inspiring self-build journey.
Attendees will also hear details of the West-Midlands Credit Union Energy Master Plan for Athlone. The plan provides a roadmap for improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and exploring renewable energy opportunities across homes, businesses, community buildings, and public services in Athlone.
Whether you’re looking to upgrade your home, reduce your energy bills, or simply explore sustainable options, the Go Green Expo is the perfect opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with experts – all under one roof.
West-Midlands Credit Union’s Greenify Home Improvement Loan helps homeowners fund energy-efficient upgrades to cut energy costs and lower their carbon footprint, while the Greenify Transport Loan supports members looking to transition to electric vehicles.
John Doyle, CEO of West-Midlands Credit Union, said: "The Go Green Expo is about making sustainability practical and accessible. By bringing together trusted exhibitors and showcasing solutions supported by our Greenify loans, we’re helping members and the wider community make informed choices that benefit both their finances and the environment."
