The Ballinahown NS parents' association is gearing up for one of the social events of the year locally, the St Patrick’s Day Big Breakfast.

This popular fundraising gathering will see breakfast being served in Ballinahown community hall from 9am to 12.30pm on the national feast day.

There will also be a cake sale to satisfy those with a sweet tooth.

Locals are invited to come along to the community hall on March 17 to enjoy "the best breakfast in the Midlands" while renewing old friendships.

All proceeds from the event will go to Ballinahown National School.
