New kick-off time this season for Athlone Town women's home games

A new kick-off time has been announced for the Athlone Town women's team's home league fixtures in 2026.

Last year's league and cup double winners kicked off the new league campaign on Saturday with a 1-1 draw away to Sligo Rovers.

Their first home league game is against DLR Waves this Saturday, March 21.

It was originally scheduled for 7.30pm, but a statement from the league today (Monday) announced that the game would instead be getting underway at 6pm.

All of Athlone's other home league games this season are now also scheduled to start at 6pm, though this is subject to change in the case of games being broadcast live on TG4. Games on the final day of the season will all kick-off at 5pm.

As it stands at present, the Athlone Town women's team's home league fixtures for 2026 are as follows:
