Murray named to start Connacht clash against Ulster

Fresh from his try scoring Six Nations debut appearance for Ireland, Darragh Murray returns to provincial action with Connacht on Friday night.

The Brideswell native has been named to start in the second row for Connacht's BKT United Rugby Championship fixture away to Ulster in the Affidea Stadium at 7.45pm.

Murray played a pivotal role in Ireland's triple crown win over Scotland on Saturday last scoring a second half try when introduced as a temporary replacement for Tadhg Beirne.

Jack Carty will make his 231st appearance for the province in his customary out half position, while Niall Murray (a brother of Darragh) has been named as a replacement.

Connacht are aiming for their fourth successive win in the competition and will be hoping to reverse the outcome of the province's previous BKT United Rugby Championship in December when Ulster triumphed by five points.
