Kiltoom artist to discuss her work
Kiltoom-based artist Margo McNulty, who is currently exhibiting at Esker Arts Centre in Tullamore, will discuss her work with curator Catherine Marshall on Saturday, March 21.
The event, 'In Conversation: Margo McNulty and Catherine Marshall', will cover the current 'From the Earth' exhibition, Margo’s wider practice and the experience of her Studio Residency at Esker Arts.
Catherine Marshall is a curator and art historian. She lectured in art history at Trinity College Dublin, NCAD and UCD. She was the founding Head of Collections at IMMA, and co-edited Art and Architecture of Ireland, vol. 5, Twentieth Century (2014) and Janet Mullarney (2019). She is an active member of the art collective Na Cailleacha (Na Cailleacha.weebly.com) and regularly curates and contributes to many visual art publications.
Originally from Achill Island, Margo McNulty studied Fine Art in Galway and completed her Masters in NCAD, Dublin.
She has exhibited widely over the last few years with solo exhibitions and group shows in Ireland, Sweden, Poland, and the UK, and has taken part in a number of Irish and international residencies.
Earlier this year, she was awarded the Esker Arts Studio Residency, and this exhibition marks the culmination of that residency.
Her current exhibition will run until Saturday, March 28.
