Sadness at death of popular local publican

The death has taken place of well-known local publican Kevin Daly.

The late Mr Daly was the proprietor of Daly’s Tavern on the N61 in Kiltoom.

He passed away on Wednesday last, April 8, suddenly, in his 67th year, at Moate Golf Club

Kevin will be sadly missed and always loved by his heartbroken wife Mary (née Harney), sons Paul, Colin and Cian, mother Patricia, mother-in-law Kitty, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, many loyal customers and friends.

He reposed in Daly’s Tavern this evening and removal will be from his home tomorrow, Monday, April 13, to the Church of the Risen Christ, Ballybay, Kiltoom arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kiltoom Cemetery.

In an online post the Daly family said they would like to thank The Midland Vintners Golf Society, Moate Golf Club, paramedics, air ambulance personnel and the Staff at The Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore.
