Athlone dance school gets 'once-in-a-lifetime' chance to perform at Disneyland this year
An Athlone dance school are preparing for the 'once-in-a-lifetime' opportunity to perform at Disneyland later this year.
A total of 34 students from Reynolds Academy of Irish Dancing, located in Walderstown, are set to make the journey to perform at the iconic Paris resort in September.
The school was selected as part of the Disneyland Paris Performing Arts Programme which according to their website "provides performance opportunities to amateur groups, with the aim of giving them a glimpse into Disney's world of entertainment, by offering them the unique once in a lifetime experience of becoming a 'Disney performer' for the day."
"This is a huge achievement for our dancers and a dream come true for many of them," said Julieanne Reynolds.
The school is now hoping to raise funds to support travel, accommodation, and programme costs.
"We are raising funds to help cover costs, ensuring that every dancer has the chance to be part of this unforgettable experience," Julieanne added.
