Supermarket chain Aldi had the opening today (Thursday) of a new €9.8 million store in Tullamore has resulted in the creation of 30 local jobs.
The store was officially opened today by Green Party Senator and Minister for State at the Department of Agriculture Pippa Hackett, Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council Cllr Tony McCormack, and the local Aldi team, led by Store Manager Yasmin Rourke.
Located on O’Connell Street, the store becomes Aldi’s third in county Offaly and is second in Tullamore. It is Aldi’s 163rd store in Ireland since first arriving here 25 years ago.
