HSE cannabis treatment programme available to Roscommon residents

Residents of Roscommon can avail of an eight week group treatment programme for people concerned about their use of cannabis.

The HSE Drug Service programme will be take place from 2pm to 4pm at a venue in Galway City from Wednesday, February 26.

This free and confidential service, suitable for those aged 18 and over, is aimed at those who would like to stop, cut down or explore if they want to make a change in their use of cannabis.

Many participants in previous programmes have reduced their use or achieved abstinence. The programme is based on treatment strategies that research has proved to be effective and is facilitated by two counsellors working in the Galway City Drug Service.
