Bulfin feels players are improving

Westmeath senior hurling manager Seoirse Bulfin said his players are making progress following Sunday's defeat by Offaly at Glenisk O'Connor Park, Tullamore.

The Limerick native admitted the losing streak is disappointing, but with a number of players joining the panel late, he is hoping things will build towards a positive championship.

“We’re disappointed to have lost matches but we are a work in progress, a lot of the guys were back late, some of them only came in for January. We’re only really working collectively for eight weeks with the whole panel,” he remarked. “Any time you lose matches the mood isn’t good, any time you play you want to win and you want to perform. But we just need to get back on the pitch now and try to bring the levels of consistency and performance up, that’s a big thing for me.”
