Third Connaught Street Market to take place this Sunday

The Connaught Street Market will take centre stage on the west side of Athlone once again this May bank holiday weekend.

The third edition of the market will take place in Connaught Gardens on Sunday, May 4, from 12pm to 4pm, the market will include fun for all the family.

On the day, the market will be host to face-painting, local crafts, and special guests the adorable Old Town Alpacas.

The Old Town Alpacas were a popular addition to the markets.

Previously hosted during the St Patrick's weekend celebrations, the event is a family-focused day organised by the Connaught Street and Environs Community Group.

The inaugural Connaught Street Market took place in August of this year for Heritage week.
