Local star Carty renews Connacht contract

Connacht Rugby has confirmed that all-time record points scorer Jack Carty has renewed his contract for the 2025/26 season.

A native of Barrymore, Athlone, Carty has scored 1277 points across 220 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2012. The out-half will look to further extend that record next season.

The former Buccaneers RFC and Marist College player came through the Connacht pathway system. Carty also has 11 Irish caps and was a member of Ireland's Rugby World Cup squad in 2019.

Further Connacht player contract updates are expected to be provided ahead of Saturday’s final home game of the season against Edinburgh.
