Roscommon ladies football team named for crucial championship fixture
Roscommon ladies football team welcome Fermanagh to Kiltoom on Sunday (throw-in, 2pm) for their final group fixture in this year's TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship.
In what is essentially a 'shoot-out' for second place in the group, Roscommon will be hoping that home advantage will saw the contest in their favour and ensure progress to the knockout phase of this year's championship.
Roscommon suffered defeat to table toppers Laois in their opening group encounter and will be hoping that a win on Sunday will kick start their championship campaign.
In the event of a draw, the team registering the most points (scores over the bar) will progress and if the counties still cannot be split after that, it’ll come down to overall score difference.
Ahead of throw-in, it’s Roscommon who just about have the scoring difference edge, on -7 compared to Fermanagh’s -8.
Roscommon: H Cummins; M Kelly, R Brady, S Wynne; N Feeney, R Lennon, M McKeon; E Irwin, A Curran; N Watson, S McGuinness, L Mannion (capt.); A Hanly, E Thompson, C Lennon.
