Westmeath eye home quarter final
Westmeath will be aiming to nail down a home quarter final in the TG4 All Ireland Intermediate Ladies Football Championship on Sunday.
Frank Browne's charges will be heading to Stewartstown Harps pitch on Sunday in Tyrone for a game against the home side, where both teams are already safely through to the quarter-finals, having achieved victories over Down.
Now, the teams will battle it out to determine top spot in Group 2 – and a home quarter-final.
Tyrone and Westmeath are both viewed as live contenders for TG4 All-Ireland Championship glory – and they’ll remain in the hunt for glory irrespective of Sunday’s result.
In the event of a draw, the team registering the most points (scores over the bar) will top the table and if they still can’t be split after that, it’ll come down to overall score difference.
Ahead of throw-in, it’s Tyrone who just about have the edge, on +3 compared to Westmeath’s +2.
