Cheque presented to Mount Temple Tidy Towns for tree maintenance
Hugh Clavin, treasurer of the Mount Temple Christmas Lights committee, recently presented a cheque to John Madden of Mount Temple Tidy Towns for the maintenance of trees in the village.
These trees are a big part of Mount Temple's annual Christmas lights display, and an integral part of the village's natural beauty.
Three of the trees were felled during Storm Eowyn, and a joint effort by the Tidy Towns and Christmas Lights committees, in conjunction with Michael O'Dowd of Maturetrees, has seen them replanted safely, with the hope now that they will all bloom once again.
Mount Temple Tidy Towns said it would like to thank the Christmas Lights committee for its support in this project, and for the work the committee does each Christmas season. Gratitude was also expressed to Micheal O'Dowd for his help and expertise.
The Mount Temple Tidy Towns group is currently in full swing, keeping the beautiful village tidy.
