Alex Dunne will sample life as a F1 driver at the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend

Dunne to drive for McLaren in Austria F1 practice this weekend

In a further boost to Alex Dunne's burgeoning F2 career, the Midlands driver will take part in Free Practice 1 at the 2025 Austrian Grand Prix for McLaren.

Dunne will sample a taste of life as a F1 driver as part of his development within the McLaren Racing pipeline.

The Clonbollogue native will become the first Irish driver in 22 years to feature in a F1 race when he replaces leading British driver Lando Norris for the session this weekend.

Dunne is currently heading the F2 Driver's Championship ahead of this weekend's racing schedule in Spielberg Austria and this momentary insight into the F1 driving realm is certain to boost confidence as he strives to continue his successful season to date.
