Summerhill NS proudly raises amber flag to mark Pieta House initiative

Prior to the arrival of the school's summer holidays, it was yet another proud day for the staff and students of Summerhill NS with the raising of an amber flag this week.

The Amber Flag initiative is run by Pieta House and recognises the individual efforts of primary and secondary schools, youth reach, third level institutions, community groups, clubs and companies to create healthy, inclusive environments that support mental wellbeing.

Only last month Summerhill NS raised a green flag in recognition of the school's renewable energy focus with the unveiling of solar panels as part of the Solar for Schools Programme.
