Athlone collections planned as part of Mary's Meals fundraising walk

Mary's Meals annual fundraising walk will pass through Athlone on Monday, August 11, en route to Knock Shrine.

Starting from seven different locations around Ireland, the annual Mary's Meals fundraising walk to Knock Shrine takes place from August 7-15.

The Kilkenny and Thurles walks will pass through Athlone on Monday next, where collections will take place at Athlone Towncentre, Dunnes Stores Irishtown and Golden Island.

The aim of Mary's Meals is that every child in the world gets at least one substantial meal a day in their place of education. The average cost to feed a child for an entire school year is just €22 or 11c per day.
