Midlands athlete records new PB in Belgium
Rosemount athlete, Aaron Keane, made a welcome return to the sporting arena at the IFAM Oordegem meet in Belgium when clocking impressive times in both the 100m and 200m races.
Following a spell on the sidelines through injury, the Tullamore Harriers runner returned to top level athletics and produced a new personal best record of 21.45 seconds in the 200m event, while the 100m race saw Keane run a time of 10.72 seconds.
The IFAM Oordegem meet in Belgium is part of the prestigious World Athletics Continental Tour.
In May, Keane was named on both the men's 4x400m and mixed relay Ireland squads which competed at the World Athletics Relays in China.
