Luan Gallery to host summer exhibition 'In Conversation' event
Marking the culmination of the Luan Gallery summer exhibition, in house curator Aoife Banks and the exhibiting artists will host an 'In Conversation' event on Saturday, September 6.
Soft Surge is a group exhibition of existing and newly commissioned contemporary textile works exploring themes of identity, motherhood, women’s collectivity, grief, resistance, activism and socio-political dissent in Ireland.
Exhibiting artists include Shirani Bolle, Ursula Burke, Rachel Fallon, Dee Mulrooney, Lucy Peters, Emily Waszak and The Irish Names Project - Curated by Aoife Banks.
Over the course of the event, the curator and artists will address and unravel the themes encountered in the exhibition. The discussion will critically engage with the conceptual frameworks and thematic concerns underpinning the works, offering insight into the curatorial rationale and the artistic practices of the exhibiting artists.
The event is FREE of charge with no booking required.
The Soft Surge exhibition runs until Sunday, September 7.
