Key dates to note as local students await Leaving Certificate results

The State Examinations Commission (SEC) will issue the 2025 Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) examination results to 1,520 Leaving Certificate and Leaving Cert Applied (LCA) students in County Westmeath tomorrow (Friday, August 22).

Results will be available to all students from 10am and will be issued through the Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) on examinations.ie.

On Wednesday, August 27, the first CAO offers will issue to all applicants online from 2pm.

Candidates have a two day window to appeal their Leaving Certificate results. Students wishing to apply to appeal their examination results can do so from 10am on Sunday, August 31 until 5pm on Monday, September 1.

The closing date for CAO Round One course acceptance is Tuesday, September 2, at 3pm, while CAO Round Two offers will be available online to students on Monday, September 8, from 2pm.

The closing date for CAO Round Two course acceptance is Wednesday, September 10, at 3pm.

CAO Round Three offers will be made available to candidates online on Tuesday, September 16, at 10am with a closing date for course acceptance of Thursday, September 18, at 3pm.

There will also be a fourth and fifth round of CAO offers to students towards the latter stages of September dependent upon the number of respective course places available.
