Moate community groups welcome addition of new ride-on lawnmower

Representatives from Moate Tidy Towns and Moate Railway Station have welcomed the addition of a new ride-on lawnmower to assist with the ongoing maintenance of green areas in the town.

The volunteer groups commended elected representatives who supported the application process to secure funding to purchase the ride-on lawnmower.

"This machine is used by both groups to maintain the Greenway and the grass areas in the town. Both groups work in a collaborative way so it was important to secure this funding," the volunteer groups said.

Local Minister of State Kevin 'Boxer' Moran, said he was "delighted" to help secure funding for the ride-on lawnmower, referencing the "dedicated work" of the volunteer group's in Moate.

"Moate is growing from strength to strength and it is due to the dedicated work being carried out by volunteer groups such as Moate Tidy Towns and the Moate Railway Station Group.

"The town is always presented immaculately and great credit is due to the ongoing work of both volunteer groups who I am delighted to support," Minister Moran said.
