Connaught Street Market returns with Halloween theme

The Connaught Street and Environs Community Group will host a Halloween Market in Connaught Gardens on Sunday, October 26, from 12pm-4pm.

The fourth such market to take place on the west side of Athlone, it promises to be a family occasion with 'the magic of Halloween' in abundance.

On the day, the 'spooktacular' market will host a wide variety of stalls packed with antiques, vintage clothing, jewellery, local crafts, a doggie shop, personalised gifts, home baking, wood turning, soaps, cheese, chutneys and all sorts of goodies, including the Connaught Street swap shop.

There will also be hot food and warm drinks served to keep the chill away.

Pumpkins, hay bales and spooky photo scenes will provide the perfect backdrop for family photographs, while a fun treasure hunt, Halloween games and a 'spooky corner' for witches and wizards will appeal to the younger members of the family.

A regular feature at the three Connaught Street Markets held to date, the Halloween edition will also see free face painting and the return of the popular alpacas.
