Moate church to host three-day event next week honouring St Thérèse of Lisieux
The Carmelite Church in Moate is to host three days of ceremonies in honour of one of the most popular saints in the Catholic faith, St Thérèse of Lisieux, early next week.
The tridiuum is being led by Fr Declan Hurley and will take place thius coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, September 29 to October 1, at 7.15pm.
Each evening will have a different theme. On Monday, September 29, it will be: Thérèse and her message for today, 'The Little Way'.
On Tuesday, September 30, the ceremony will cover Thérèse and the Family, and there will be a blessing with a relic of Louis and Zelie Martin, the parents of St Thérèse.
Finally, on Wednesday, October 1 the ceremony will be themed Thérèse - Model of Christian Hope.
St Thérèse is known as 'the little flower' and the events will conclude on Wednesday evening with a blessing of roses and a blessing with the relic of St Thérèse.
