Orange weather warning issued for County Roscommon

Met Éireann has issued a Level Orange severe wind weather alert for County Roscommon.

Storm Amy will bring near gale force to gale force and very gusty southwest to west winds to the county in the next number of hours.

Met Éireann has warned the public of fallen trees, damage to power lines and possible power outages, very difficult travelling conditions and possible wave overtopping.

The weather warning is valid until 10PM this evening (Friday).
