Housing event in Tullamore next week for first-time buyers

Owning your own home may feel like a distant dream in today’s challenging housing market — but it's not out of reach.

That's according to the developers of the new Ridley Place estate in Tullamore, who are organising an event in the town on Wednesday next (November 12) which will focus on first-time buyers and will involve a panel of leading housing experts

Taking place in the Tullamore Court Hotel at 6.30pm, the event will seek to empower first-time buyers to help them take the next step.

"Many first-time buyers are missing out on fantastic opportunities," said Pat Flanagan of Ridley Place.

"There are excellent government grants and incentives available right now — and we want to help people understand how to access them. With the right information and advice, home ownership is possible."

The event will reveal how first-time buyers can get on the property ladder for as little as €955 per month, combining the expertise of specialists in revenue schemes, mortgage advice, property, and development.

Attendees will gain crucial insights, including: 'Understanding the Help to Buy and First Home Schemes' with Mary Owens, Mortgage Specialist at Bank of Ireland, and 'The Legal Essentials of Buying Your First Home' – with Joanne Bane, Partner at JD Scanlon Solicitors.

Tom Crosse, of GVM Auctioneers, will speak about 'Finding the Right Home for You' while Pat Flanagan of Ridley Place will discuss 'The Importance of Insulation and Building Inspections'

The evening will include an open Q&A session, along with one-on-one opportunities to speak directly with each member of the panel.

The event takes place in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Wednesday, November 12, starting promptly at 6.30pm.
