Man found seriously injured days after he was last seen
Gardaí appealing for information.
Gardaí are investigating "all the circumstances" surrounding the discovery of a man with serious injuries in Longford at the weekend.
At around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, the man who is aged in his 60s, was taken by ambulance to Mullingar General Hospital, where he currently remains in critical condition.
A technical examination has been carried out at the scene in Drumlish as part of the investigation.
It is understood that the man was last seen in the Currabawn area at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5.
Gardaí are now appealing to the public for information that may assist their inquiries.
They are particularly keen to hear from any road users who may have been travelling in the Currabawn/Mohill Road area of Drumlish between 7p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, and who may have camera or dash-cam footage from that time.
