Venue and date confirmed for St Brigid's All-Ireland semi-final

A venue and date has been confirmed for St Brigid's All-Ireland senior club football championship.

The Connacht champions will play Ulster champions Scotstown in Kingspan Breffni Park on Sunday, January 4, with a 3pm throw-in.

St Brigid's regained the provincial championship, a title they last won in 2023, with a two point defeat of Galway club Moycullen.

It will be St Brigid's first club championship fixture to be played outside of Roscommon, the Kiltoom club playing each of their provincial games at King Moffatt Dr Hyde Park.

Opponents Scotstown won the Ulster senior club football championship on Saturday evening following an extra-time victory over Kilcoo of Down.

The Monaghan club secured their fifth provincial title with a stirring three point victory, goalkeeper and 'player of the match' Rory Beggan scoring eleven of his club's nineteen point total.

Meanwhile, SuperValu Pairc Uí Chaoimh will host the semi-final meeting of Dingle and Ballyboden St Enda's on Saturday, January 3, at 3.15pm.

The Kerry champions defeated Cork's St Finbarr's in a closely contested Munster senior club football championship final, while South Dublin club Ballyboden St Enda's enjoyed a seven point win over Athy in their provincial final.

Both games will be televised by TG4.
