Heartlands Pride to host Athlone's first summer pride festival

Heartlands Pride have announced Athlone's very first summer pride festival will be taking place this June.

The festival, which is running from Wednesday, June 3, to Sunday, June 7, is a welcome addition to the Heartlands Pride programme.

Heartlands had their first Pride weekend in November 2023, which included a 10 events curated and provided for and by the LGBT+ community in Athlone.

The organisation has held three successful winter pride festivals in recent years, bringing a variety of inclusive events to the Midlands, and raising awareness of the issues faced by the LGBT+ community in the locality.
