Injured Henshaw absent from Ireland's Six Nations squad
Robbie Henshaw is an injury absentee from the Ireland rugby squad named this afternoon (Wednesday) for the Six Nations Championship.
The Athlone native was replaced due to a knee issue in the 34th minute of Leinster's Investec Champions Cup win over Bayonne at the weekend and has not been included in team manager Andy Farrell's 37 player squad.
Connacht second row Darragh Murray will join the Ireland squad in Dublin on Sunday before travelling to Quinta do Lago Portugal for a warm-weather training camp in advance of the competition.
The Brideswell native will then link up with the Ireland XV squad upon his return.
Murray will be joined by Buccaneers pair, Paul Boyle and Sam Illo, in the Ireland XV squad.
Meanwhile, Crinkill native Michael Milne, has been included in Farrell's 37 strong player squad.
Now representing Munster, the former Birr RFC player, has previously won two international caps for his country.
Ireland open their 2026 Championship against France at Stade de France on Thursday, February 5, at 8.10pm.
