Clann na nGael to host card game fundraiser in memory of late honorary President
Clann na nGael GAA has planned a 25 card game fundraiser in memory of the late Paddy Seery, former honourary President, lifelong member and supporter of the club.
Taking place on Saturday, March 14, at 8:30pm, in Moore Hall, the event will raise funds for Roscommon Mayo Hospice.
"The hospice showed incredible care, kindness, and compassion, and this night is a small way of giving something back in Paddy’s name," the club wrote.
Paying tribute to Mr Seery following his passing in February last, the club remembered him as a "strong and uncompromising player" whose influence was "essential" to their success.
"He won numerous other competitions with the team during his playing career. In later years, he enjoyed watching his son Padraig, himself a club officer, and later his grandchildren, the Lennons, McManuses and Morans all successfully play for Clann, and indeed Roscommon at various levels."
