Significant number waiting for beds in Mullingar hospital

Significant numbers are waiting beds at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar, this morning.

According to figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwifes Organisation (INMO), there are 14 people waiting for beds in Mullingar hospital.

Thirteen of these patients are in the Emergency Department and one is on a ward.

Nationally, 637 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, 375 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 262 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
