Athlone Family Resource Centre elects new chairperson

Athlone Family Resource Centre (FRC) has elected a new chairperson for 2026.

Dr Caroline Coyle is a lecturer and researcher at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), as well as a performance artist and poet, with connections to Athlone Little Theatre.

She takes over the role as Chairwoman of Athlone FRC from outgoing chairman Padraig Hegarty, who the organisation commended "for his dedication and service to the role over the past two years".

The centre also extended a warm welcome to two additional new board members, Dr. Grainne Powell as vice chairperson and Sinead Byrne Canning as festival and events coordinator.
