Former Athlone CC student awarded Barra Flynn scholarship

Former Athlone Community College student Niamh Groarke has been awarded the Barra Flynn Memorial Scholarship from Tormey Solicitors for her outstanding results in her Leaving Certificate examinations.

Niamh, who is studying Criminology and Law at the University of Galway, was an exceptional student who excelled both in the classroom and in her extra-curricular activities.

Athlone Community College was also awarded the ‘Best Overall School’ in the local community for the number of its Leaving Certificate students who have gone on to study law.
