Final Team Ireland performances on RTÉ Player

The 2026 Winter Olympics have been one to remember, with Team Ireland representing our little nation with absolute pride, and they can look back fondly on their experience as it draws to a close.

Cormac Comerford ended his run at the Olympics yesterday, finishing in 31st place from a starting field of 96.

​Only 39 athletes completed the men’s slalom, as there were incredibly difficult conditions.

​Annabelle Zurbay will follow up from her finish in 48th place in the Giant Slalom, recording times of 1:12.82 and 1:18.88, finishing with a combined 2:31.70.

​Zurbay will take part in two more Giant Slalom runs, with the first being on February 18, 8:50am to 11:05am on RTÉ Player.

​Her second run will be shown on RTÉ Player from 12:20pm to 2:10pm.

​Ben Lynch is scheduled to take part in the Freestyle Halfpipe Qualifier on Thursday, February 19, from 9:25am to 11:30am and will be shown on RTÉ Player.

​Lynch will also compete in the Freestyle Halfpipe Final on Friday, February 20, from 9:25am to 11:30am and will be shown on RTÉ Player.

Following on from a finish of 54th place in the cross-country skiing 10km interval start, Thomas Maloney Westgård will be the last of our athletes taking part this year.

​Finally, the Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 22, from 6:45pm to 10pm on both RTÉ Player and RTÉ News.
