Roscommon Gardaí has said there will be a traffic management plan in place ahead of Roscommon's eagerly awaited Allianz Football League Division 1 clash against Dublin on Sunday (King & Moffat Dr Hyde Park, throw-in: 2pm).
Gardai have said that all motorists can expect delays in and around Roscommon town and the surrounding areas between midday and up to 5pm on Sunday evening. Gardai have also asked supporters to take care while parking and to respect the needs of residents and other road users.
If people have to park on the Athlone Road or the Golf Links Road, Gardaí have advised for them to park facing away from the town. If parking on the Racecourse Road, Boyle Road or Circular Road, patrons are asked to park facing towards the Castlerea/Boyle direction. Gardaí have also urged people to follow all signage and the instructions of Gardaí and stewards. They have also asked supporters to be patient arriving and leaving the stadium, as it will take time moving the volume of match traffic.
A large crowd is expected to converge on Dr Hyde Park for Sunday's match, with the home side looking to build on last weekend's brilliant victory over Galway.
Mark Dowd's Rossies' have made an impressive start in Division 1, accumulating three wins and six points from its four outings. Dublin, meanwhile, has not really got going to date, losing three matches. Their only win so far came against Monaghan.
