Local female voices to be heard at free International Women's Day event

A free event will be hosted by the Athlone Family Resource Centre to mark International Women's Day in the town on Sunday, March 8.

'Voices from the Farside' is described by the Family Resource Centre as an afternoon of local poetry, spoken word and performance to celebrate local female voices. The event will take place at 4pm on Sunday next at the Abbey Road Artists Studio in Athlone. Entry is free of charge and there is no requirement for pre-booking with all welcome to attend.
