Holder of €250,000 Athlone ticket makes contact with National Lottery

The holder of a ticket which won €250,000 in a Lotto Plus 2 draw last week has made contact with National Lottery headquarters.

The lucky ticket was purchased on Tuesday, March 10, at Circle K on the Dublin Road in Athlone.

After the following night's Lotto Plus 2 draw, the ticket was worth a cool quarter of a million euro.

When contacted today (Friday) a National Lottery spokesperson told the Westmeath Independent that the winner had made contact with its prize claims team and that "arrangements are underway for them to collect their prize".
