Westmeath ladies' seek to secure another Leinster final berth
Westmeath has named its starting team ahead of this Saturday's TG4 Leinster Intermediate Ladies' Championship semi-final against Laois (TEG Cusack Park, Mullingar, 3.30pm).
In a repeat of last year’s provincial final, the Lake ladies' will be hoping to overcome the recent disappointment of National League relegation from Division 2, a fate that came its way despite finishing the campaign with an impressive victory against Cavan.
Last May, Sarah Dillon registered an outstanding tally of 1-4 as Westmeath claimed their first Leinster Intermediate Football Championship title since 2011 with a commanding triumph over Laois in Mullingar.
Now, the sides will meet for a place in the 2026 provincial showpiece with the winners set to face either Louth or Wexford in the final. Louth has home advantage, in Drogheda, when the sides meet in their semi-final (also on Saturday).
