Roscommon ladies hoping for provincial success
Roscommon manager Finbar Egan has named his team for the Connacht Ladies Intermediate Football Championship Final against Leitrim in Páirc Seán MacDiarmada Carrick On Shannon on Sunday at 1pm.
Roscommon will be hoping to start their championship season with silverware in advance of the All-Ireland series which starts in early June.
Roscommon maintained their intermediate championship status for 2026 courtesy of a relegation play-off win over Wicklow at the end of their 2025 season.
Roscommon will look to St Brigid's Abby Curran and Clann na nGael player Caoimhe Lennon for scoring inspiration, while goalkeeper Helena Cummins was rewarded for her heroics in 2025 with the 'Golden Gloves' award.
Should Roscommon win the provincial title they will be rewarded with a place in Group 4 of the All-Ireland series against Leinster and Ulster opposition.
Roscommon (Team vs Leitrim) H Cummins (capt.); A McGrath, A Connaughton, E Irwin; M McKeon, S Wynne, G Lohan; R Cox, A Curran; E Thompson, N Watson, N Feeney; A Hanly, A Feely, C Lennon.
