Des's biggest catch

Football legend Des Dolan was no stranger to sporting achievement and he is still breaking records, at the age of 82!

A lifelong fisherman, he caught his biggest trout on Thursday of last week, with the catch weighing in at over 10lbs.

Des had always aimed to land a trout on the Mayfly over 10lbs in weight, having spent years on the lake fishing.

He caught the trout at Murphy’s Hole on Lough Ree and is pictured along with his granddaughter Holly.
