O'Rourkes Fireplaces launches new Kingstar Stoves range

FOR the past 30 years, Eamon O'Rourke Fireplaces & Stoves, Glasson, Athlone, have been providing high-quality warmth and comfort - and top class service - to homeplaces all around the Midlands region. A renowned market pacesetter in counties Westmeath, Roscommon, Longford and Offaly, O'Rourke Fireplaces & Stoves are ready to take yet another leap forward in the coming weeks, as they prepare to launch its new exclusive range of cast-iron Kingstar high-efficiency stoves at its headquarters in Glasson, located close to the heart of Athlone. Central to this exciting new venture is Eamon O'Rourke himself, who boasts familial roots in the South Roscommon area of Moore. Married to Margaret (nee Spollen), herself part of a well known business-orientated family from Glasson/Tubberclair, Eamon has been operating his family-run business in Athlone since 1981, and is excited about the launch of the new Kingstar range, which takes place over the course of two days from Friday, February 5. The launch of the Kingstar stoves will run in conjunction with the beginning of a new sale at the Glasson premises, where up to 70 per cent reductions will be available to customers, who are invited to freely attend the two-day launch and view the burning stoves in full-flow. During the launch, customers will also be able to avail of a free consultation process with a qualified plumber. Eamon explained: "This is an exciting time for O'Rourke Fireplaces & Stoves. Our main line of business has always been providing all types of fireplaces to suit an open-fire - both solid fuel and gas - with our speciality proving to be making off-standard fireplaces. We continue to make all types of fireplaces such as marble, granite and timber-surrounds, and provide all these to suit open-fires, solid fuel, gas and stoves. There have been big changes in recent times in relation to CO2 and renewable fuel, leading us to put great efforts into our research and development department. There has been a big emphasis on moving away from open-fires to more energy-efficient appliances and stoves. This has led to us venturing into the provision of the cast-iron Kingstar stoves. The market-trend is heading the way of stoves and we want to provide these high-quality stoves at affordable prices. We believe we are retaining our tradition through innovation." Eamon is realistic in these current recessional times and feels it's vital not to lose touch with the customer. "We are able to provide the equivalent of desginer-label stoves but at much more affordable prices. We have to be conscious of the current economic climate and always have a bargain-basement at our store in Glasson. We endeavour to maintain tradition through innovation and remain fully aware that Irish people still feel the fireplace is the heart of the home. It provides the centre-piece for families and an intimacy within the home," Eamon said. Eamon also acknowledges the need to diversify though, and has put extensive work into his company's research and development department over the past two years. To this end, O'Rourke Fireplaces & Stoves will be introducing an innovative new product during the year, a product designed to improve the efficiency of open-fires, and this product has been fully patented and is currently being tested at Trinity College in Dublin. "Our research and development studies have been of huge importance in recent years, and is one of the reasons we intend to stay at the very top of our game. We put a lot of personnel into this area of the business and it will stand us in good stead for the coming years," Eamon said. O'Rourke Fireplaces & Stoves also put huge emphasis on customer satisfaction, Eamon said."We always provide a full-fitting service through our fully qualified fitters and we put a major emphasis on providing a complete and fully professional job to all our customers. One of our fitters is always fully qualified as a plasterer as well, so a full and professional job is always ensured," said Eamon. He continued: "We provide a full installation service, including in relation to our stoves, and also provide full removal and disposal of old fireplaces. We also have a free consultation policy where we call to people's homes and answer any queries. Over 30 years of business, the feedback and after-sale service we have experienced is unrivalled in the Midlands." Eamon believes his approach of providing high-quality service at affordable prices will help O'Rourke Fireplaces & Stoves thrive during a difficult period in Irish society."We have taken the view that people need to be provided with quality and value-for-money. A combination of our extensive research and development, the launch of our new website (www.myfire.ie), and the provision of our new Kingstar stoves, will stand us in good stead as we continue to be innovative with our products and strengthen our position as a leader in the Midlands market. I would encourage people to come along to our store in Glasson next Friday or Saturday (February 5 and 6) and embrace our new high-quality Kingstar stoves, and also avail of our new sale," said Eamon.
