The LOLS set to perform at sports awards function

The LOLS - the hugely popular band from the Midlands - will be performing at the Westmeath Independent/Hodson Bay Hotel Sports Awards this Friday night, February 8. Vibrant, fresh and intense are just some of the words used to describe this talented four piece band. The LOLS consist of Derek Feery (lead singer), Eamon Cooke (lead guitar and vocals), Dave Healy (bass guitar and vocals) and William Burgoyne (on drums). David is from Ballycumber while the other members of the band all hail from Moate. The LOLS picked up the award for Party Band of the Year for three years in a row at the Irish Entertainment Awards. The LOLS are looking forward to entertaining the guests at the sports awards night on Friday, February 8 in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone. The LOLS are also looking forward to their own awards night on February 18 in Clontarf Castle, where the Weddings Online Band of the Year will be announced as they are nominated in the last 10 out of 120 bands. Tickets for the Westmeath Independent/Hodson Bay Hotel Sports Awards are on sale in the Westmeath Independent offices (phone 090 64 34300 for more information). A special offer is in place whereby people receive one free ticket if they purchase five tickets, and two free tickets for buying ten tickets.
